NOTE: Please do NOT follow your GPS - it will take you via Marble Hill or Cherryville along Fire Tracks! It will take an hour to arrive when it should only take about 25 minutes from the top of Magill Road. It is really easy to find - go straight up Magill Road (which turns into Adelaide-Lobethal Road at Norton Summit), then after about 12kms, turn left at Plummers Road! Read the instructions below for more detail!
About 35 mins drive from Adelaide GPO, Stella Creek Cherry Orchard is located at Plummers Road, Forest Range. We are 1.8 kms up Plummers Road, on the right hand side, as you come up from the Adelaide-Lobethal Road.
Stella Creek is the SECOND CHERRY ORCHARD on Plummers Rd - so don't stop 'til you're near the top!! Look for our sign (see above) at the driveway entrance to Stella Creek.
There will also be an A-frame sign on the corner of Plummers and Adelaide-Lobethal roads as soon as cherry harvest starts.
Lots of people have trouble finding us once they get to Plummers Road - so watch this video and then you will know what to look out for! This trip up Plummers Rd takes about 2-3 minutes - so the video is the edited version of the drive (it is only 1 minute long)!
There are 3 main routes to “Stella Creek” from the Adelaide Metro area (all sealed roads) these being via:
Magill Road (this is the most direct road from the city though it is a bit windy (as in wine-dy, not win-dy!) for some people).
Get on to Magill Rd, then follow it straight up the hill to Norton Summit (it turns into Adelaide-Lobethal Road). You will veer right at the Norton Summit Pub (left hand side, top of the hill). Stay on this road and go through Norton Summit, Ashton, Basket Range and then Forest Range. Go through Forest Range until you see Plummers Road on the left.
Once you have found Plummers Rd—make sure you head 1.8km up the hill—we are right at the top! We are the SECOND cherry orchard on Plummers Road so look for the Stella Creek sign at the gate.
Greenhill Rd
Get on to Greenhill Road in the city, and follow it straight up the hill to Summertown, then Uraidla. Turn left at Basket Range Road directly opposite the Uraidla Hotel. Stay on that road until you come to the T-junction (at the bottom of the hill) and turn right onto Adelaide-Lobethal Road. Follow Adelaide-Lobethal Rd through Forest Range and Plummers Road is on your left.
Once you have found Plummers Rd—make sure you head 1.8km up the hill—we are right at the top! We are the SECOND cherry orchard on Plummers Road so look for the Stella Creek sign at the gate.
South East Freeway (The easiest route, though not usually the shortest or quickest)
You can exit at either Crafers, Bridgewater or Hahndorf. Details of each are below.
Crafers Exit: after you have come off the freeway, go straight ahead at the roundabout. Go past the BP service station and the Crafers pub (on the right). Turn left after the two blocks of shops at Picadilly Road (if you go straight ahead you will end up on the freeway again!). Follow that road to the roundabout and veer left (you are still on Picadilly Road). This road will take you to Summertown. Turn right (this is Greenhill Road). The next town is Uraidla.
Turn left at Basket Range Road directly opposite the Uraidla Hotel. Stay on that road until you come to the T-junction (at the bottom of the hill) and turn right onto Adelaide-Lobethal Road. Follow Adelaide-Lobethal Rd through Forest Range and Plummers Road is on your left).

Bridgewater Exit: after taking this exit, turn left (onto Bridgewater-Carey Gully Road). Stay on this road until you come to a T-junction (Rangeview Drive), and turn right. You will then come to another T-junction (Greenhill Road). Turn right and shortly you will see Deviation Road on your left. Take Deviation Road (which is very windy, but pretty) until you come to the intersection with Adelaide-Lobethal Road. Turn right. Follow Adelaide-Lobethal Rd through Forest Range and Plummers Road is on your left.

Hahndorf Exit: turn left at the big roundabout (Mt Barker Road), then turn right at the T-Junction (Onkaparinga Valley Road). This road will take you through Verdun and then Balhannah to Woodside. In Woodside, turn left onto Tiers Road and follow that all the way to the intersection at Adelaide-Lobethal Road. Turn left and drive through the town of Lenswood. Plummers Road is 2km from Lenswood on your right (immediately after Harris Road).

Basically, all roads lead to Rome! Find the Adelaide-Lobethal Road, then Plummers Road, and head to the top of the hill for 1.8kms. Go past the first cherry orchard - we are the SECOND ORCHARD about another kilometre up Plummers road. Look for the Stella Creek sign - and you can't miss us!
